Our Year 10 Commerce students showcased their entrepreneurial skills at the highly successful $20 Boss Mega Market, the culmination of their ‘To Market, To Market’ unit during Term 2.

The College has proudly participated in the $20 Boss program since 2018 in partnership with Young Change Agents, a not-for-profit organisation that is one of Australia's leading entrepreneurial education programs. Through this innovative program, students are challenged to create, launch and manage a business with a $20 investment, developing enterprise, financial literacy and problem solving skills through authentic, real-world learning experiences.

Working in teams, students developed creative business ideas and social enterprises before bringing them to life at the Mega Market. Throughout the project, they demonstrated initiative, innovation, collaboration and resilience while gaining valuable experience in planning, marketing and managing a business. Each year the standard of the businesses continues to grow and this year's market was undoubtedly one of the most impressive, reflecting the dedication, creativity and entrepreneurial mindset of our students.

The event was a wonderful success, with staff, students and members of our College community enthusiastically supporting the students' ventures. Thanks to this generous support, the Year 10 Commerce cohort raised an impressive $1,700, which has been donated to Congo Aid to support its important humanitarian work.

Congratulations to all of our Year 10 Commerce students on their outstanding efforts and achievements. Their commitment, creativity and teamwork made the event a memorable success while demonstrating how enterprise can be used to make a positive difference in the wider community.

Thank you to everyone who supported this initiative and helped make another year of $20 Boss such a rewarding experience.
