The Feast of the Assumption: Saturday, 15 August

This Saturday, our church community celebrates the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This major holy day commemorates the end of Mary’s earthly life and her bodily assumption into heavenly glory. It is a beautiful reminder of hope, signaling the ultimate promise of eternal life and renewal for all faithful believers. While it falls on a weekend this year, we invite everyone to join us in reflecting on Mary's faith, humility, and devotion.

A Prayer for the Assumption

Almighty and everlasting God,

You raised the sinless Virgin Mary, mother of your Son,

body and soul into the glory of heaven.

May we see her as a beacon of hope and comfort.

Guide our hearts to stay focused on eternal truths,

so that we may one day share in her heavenly glory.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
