News and Excursions
what has been happening around JMSS

The Year 10 Aquatic Fieldwork Science class spent a wonderful morning in February at the Jock Marshall Reserve on Monash University's Clayton campus.
Students used sampling nets to collect macroinvertebrates (e.g. insects) from a lake, and identified them under the microscope.
They also analysed water samples for pH, nitrogen, phosphorus and salinity levels to assess the health of the lake ecosystem.

Monash Youth Services have let us know about the following opportunities.
Although many of our students may not be from the Monash area, they are still eligible for their services as they attend JMSS and are able to join. Monash Youth Services Home
Comic Con Committee
We are currently forming a committee of young people aged 13 – 18 to assist in planning a Comic Con event.

The event will be held on Saturday 11th April, with 4 – 6 committee meetings in the lead up.
