Spirit of Australia Leadership Forum

Yesterday (26th February) five JMSS students, accompanied by two staff members, travelled into the city to attend the Spirit of Australia Leadership Forum, hosted by Engineers Australia.

Throughout the day, students heard from an inspiring range of speakers who shared their insights on leadership, responsibility, and service. Presenters included Engineers Australia’s Chief Engineer, Katherine Richards; filmmaker, writer and historian, and proud Wiradjuri woman, Bronte Gosper; Chair of Young Engineers Australia Victoria, Bec Lin; and neurosurgeon Jeffrey Rosenfeld, AC, OBE, Emeritus Professor of Surgery at Monash University.

Our students were outstanding ambassadors for JMSS. They listened attentively, engaged thoughtfully with the presentations, and participated enthusiastically in the day’s activities.

Engineers Australia generously provided lunch and afternoon tea, for which the students were most appreciative.

It was a rewarding and inspiring experience for all involved.
