Fun times in the food technology room

The year 7s are getting used to the kitchen, practicing health, safety, and hygiene, and learning to use different equipment and kitchen utilities. This week they learnt to use both the stove top and the oven, making a delicious pasta bake!

Year 10s Mullauna Masterclass have been busy investigating the science of food. We have been completing experiments, including investigating why apples turn brown and the process of caramelisation. They also had a fantastic prac where we made pretzels - a bit hit!

Year 11s completed a design brief for Unit 2. The task was to create a food product that included one variety of potato and one other seasonal fruit or vegetable. There were some fantastic creations!
