Student Report

Hello Tarneit Senior College,

We hope this message finds you well as we settle into the heart of Term 2. As your Student Body Presidents, we are honoured to represent you alongside our fourteen dedicated Student Council members, all of whom share a commitment to enriching every aspect of college life—from academic support and wellbeing initiatives to cultural celebrations and sporting endeavours.

With SACs and exams looming in the weeks ahead, we wish every student the very best in their preparation. Your teachers have provided revision materials and practice tasks; now is the time to draw on all the hard work you’ve put in so far. Remember to break your study into focused intervals, stay hydrated, and balance revision with rest. You have our full support, and we know you will rise to the occasion.

Every Monday after school, C building opens its doors for Homework Club, where senior tutors and peers are on hand to assist with challenging questions or to offer a quiet space for focused study. We encourage you to make the most of this resource—collaborating with classmates can make revision more effective and less daunting.

On a celebratory note, please join us in congratulating our Senior Girls’ soccer team on winning the Western Suburbs division. Facing down those decisive penalty kicks required exceptional composure and skill; you made us proud. We eagerly anticipate cheering you on at regionals and watching you build on this outstanding achievement.

We are also delighted to announce that our Year 12 students have received their college jackets. These jackets are a symbol of unity and accomplishment, and we look forward to seeing the cohort wearing them with pride around campus.

Excitement is also building around the upcoming formals. Year 11 will step out in glamour for the Red Carpet theme, while Year 12 will enjoy an elegant Meet at Midnight theme.

Finally, amid the busyness of assessments and events, please take moments to look after yourselves. Whether it’s spending time outdoors, speaking with a trusted friend, or accessing the Wellbeing Room, your health and wellbeing remain a top priority.

We are all part of the Tarneit community, and looking out for one another is what makes our college so special.

Thank you to every student and staff member for your energy and dedication during this term. We look forward to the achievements and memories still to come.

Warm regards,

Erasti & Nyapath
