Year 7 and 8 HOCKEY – Monday August 31 It was fantastic to see RHS field a junior Hockey team in Term 3. Taking the field for the first time can be a daunting experience, but our newest players did exceptionally well, showing incredible determination, teamwork and great improvement in skill development, confidence and game play.

We played two games and the results were as follows:

RHS v Thornbury – 0-1

RHS v Northcote – 0-1

Thornbury went on to beat Northcote 1-0 to progress to the next level.

Many teams had a lot of players who play hockey and RHS only had one. Sheer determination kept us in the game and competitive for each match. Dean did a super effort as GK, saving so many goals.

A massive thank you goes out to Evan from La Trobe Uni Hockey Club for assisting with trainings and encouraging our students to try hockey! Your expertise has been invaluable. I'd also like to thank Bilal for being a wonderful captain and to Harry Morgan (Year 8 student) for assisting with coaching. He was injured and couldn't play, but did a fantastic job as coach, demonstrating leadership and working with team mates to build their knowledge and rules and positioning. The energy on the sidelines was unmatched, and this is just the beginning of a bright future for our junior development pathway! Year 8 Basketball

Congratulations to our Year 8 Basketball teams who competed in the Darebin division. Hard work, lots of learning and an enjoyable day of sport was had by all. Thanks to our coaches and teachers for supporting the teams.

Year 7 Basketball

Well done to our Year 7 Basketball teams who worked consistently and respectfully throughout all of their games.

NMR Athletics - Congratulations 

Congratulations to our fantastic Athletics team, who all competed very well yesterday at the NMR Athletics Finals. It was a big day, with great athletes across the whole North Metro area and one step before the State Championships.

Our students are to be congratulated on their individual efforts and were very supportive of each other. Well done to all!
