📚 BOOK WEEK 2026 📚

 Book Week was a HUGE hit this year, with the Library once again proving that books, music, costumes and a little healthy competition are a dangerous combination! 😂

 

📕 Monday – Where’s Wally? We kicked off the week with a school-wide Where’s Wally? race! Twenty sneaky Wally's were hidden around the school, and students had to hunt them down, remember the location number and then race back to the Library to claim their prize from Mrs Scott.

There was running. There was confusion. There was questionable knowledge of the school grounds. And, of course, there was Wally! 👀

🎵 Tuesday – Match the Song to the Book Tuesday brought another Library challenge with Mrs Scott – Book & Song Bingo! Students had to match songs to their corresponding books.

Sounds easy, right?

 

Apparently NOT! 😂 Only one group managed to get every single answer correct. And honestly… who knew that students wouldn’t know the Wuthering Heights song?! Mrs Scott is still recovering from that revelation.

✍️ Wednesday – Once Upon a Prompt Wednesday was all about creativity with Once Upon a Prompt, hosted by Ms Warren. The students’ imaginations went into overdrive and creative stories were bursting out of the Library.

There may even be some future authors hiding among us… 📖✨

 

🧙‍♀️ Thursday – The Annual Book Week Costume Parade And then came the BIG event – our annual Book Week Costume Parade!

What a fantastic turnout! We had so many amazing costumes, and a particularly wonderful surprise was seeing so many Senior School students getting involved. Clearly, you are never too old to dress up as your favourite literary character… and we are absolutely here for it! 😂

A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated, helped, dressed up, judged, cheered and generally embraced the Book Week madness.

The Library is already exhausted… but Mrs Scott is NOT DONE YET!
