Victorian State Schools Spectacular

Celebrating Student Talent, Creativity and School Spirit

I was very fortunate to receive two tickets to the Victorian State Schools Spectacular 2026 from our Principal - Katie. It was on Saturday 29 August at John Cain Arena, Melbourne Park.

The performance began at 1:00 pm and concluded at 4:30 pm, with a 30-minute interval in the middle. The afternoon was filled with energy, colour and excitement, featuring around 40 different performances from talented students across Victorian government schools. The program included an impressive variety of singing, dancing, music and other creative performances.

 A particularly special moment for me was seeing Ayda Yilmaz, a student from my Year 10 Mathematics class, taking part in this incredible production. Ayda is an enthusiastic and talented student who has always shown great passion for performance and creativity at school. It was wonderful to see her talent being showcased on such a large stage.

The production was also filmed and will  televised on Channel 10 in December, giving audiences another opportunity to enjoy these outstanding performances.

What impressed me most was not only the students’ amazing talent, but also their confidence, teamwork, dedication and enthusiasm. It was a truly inspiring celebration of student talent, creativity, diversity and school community spirit.
