Senior Endeavour Program

Find Your Spark: New Workshops in Full Swing!

Our Find Your Spark electives are back for another round and the past two weeks have been filled with creativity, confidence, curiosity and plenty of new experiences for our Year 5 and 6 students!

After an incredible first round of workshops, our students have jumped straight into a brand-new set of electives, with some exciting new opportunities to explore passions, develop practical skills and, of course, find their spark.

Over the past two weeks, students have been getting stuck into:

🛹 Skateboarding with Kerry Fisher and Tommy Breaks from Curbside Coaching, where students have been learning the fundamentals of skateboarding, building confidence and challenging themselves to master new skills. There have certainly been plenty of smiles along the way!

🎭 Musical Theatre with Angela Scundi, where students have been exploring performance, character, movement and expression. From finding their stage presence to working together as an ensemble, our budding performers have embraced every opportunity to shine.

🎥 Videography with Adam Goldfinch has once again been a huge student favourite! Building on the skills developed in our first round, students have been getting behind the camera, experimenting with filming techniques, storytelling and production. We can't wait to see what they create!

🔧 Auto Mechanics with Leith Rogers has also been a hit, giving students the chance to get hands-on and explore how things work. From learning about tools and engines to developing practical problem-solving skills, students have been discovering that there is a lot more to mechanics than meets the eye!

What makes Find Your Spark so special is seeing students try things they may never have had the opportunity to experience before. Some are discovering a new passion, while others are simply enjoying the challenge of learning something completely different.

And, as always, none of this would be possible without the incredible people who generously share their time, skills and expertise with our students.

A huge thank you to Kerry Fisher, Tommy Breaks (www.curbsidecoaching.com), Angela Scundi, Adam Goldfinch and Leith Rogers, as well as our wonderful senior teaching team, for bringing these experiences to life. Your enthusiasm and willingness to share your passions are helping our students build confidence, try new things and discover what they are capable of.

There is something pretty special about watching our students light up when they discover something they love. That is exactly what Find Your Spark is all about.

With another week still to go, we can't wait to see what our students create, perform, build, ride and discover next!
