Find Your Spark

Senior Endeavour Program

Find Your Spark: New Workshops in Full Swing!

Our Find Your Spark electives are back for another round and our Year 5 and 6 students have jumped straight in! The first session was filled with creativity, confidence, curiosity and plenty of new experiences as students explored a whole new range of interests and skills.

Following the incredible success of our first round of workshops, students are once again getting the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, discover new passions and, of course, find their spark.

This week, our students have been getting stuck into:

🛹 Skateboarding with Kerry Fisher and Tommy Breaks from Curbside Coaching, where students have been learning the fundamentals, building confidence and challenging themselves to master new skills. There have certainly been plenty of smiles, and a few impressive tricks, along the way!

🎭 Musical Theatre with Angela Scundi, where students have been exploring performance, movement and expression. From developing their stage presence to working together as an ensemble, our budding performers have embraced every opportunity to step into the spotlight.

🎥 Videography with Adam Goldfinch has once again proven to be a huge student favourite! Building on the skills developed during our first round, students have been getting behind the camera, experimenting with filming techniques, storytelling and production. We can't wait to see what they create!

🔧 Auto Mechanics with Leith Rogers has also been a hit, giving students the chance to get hands-on and explore how things work. From learning about tools and engines to developing practical problem-solving skills, students are discovering that there is a lot more to mechanics than meets the eye!

What makes Find Your Spark so special is watching students try things they may never have had the opportunity to experience before. Some are discovering a new passion, while others are simply enjoying the challenge of learning something completely different. Either way, they are building confidence, developing new skills and discovering more about themselves along the way. And, as always, none of this would be possible without the incredible people who generously share their time, skills and expertise with our students.

A huge thank you to Kerry Fisher, Tommy Breaks from Curbside Coaching, Angela Scundi, Adam Goldfinch and Leith Rogers, as well as our wonderful senior teaching team, for bringing these experiences to life. Your enthusiasm and willingness to share your passions are helping our students try new things, build confidence and discover what they are capable of.

There is something pretty special about watching a student light up when they discover something they love - and that is exactly what Find Your Spark is all about.

With another two weeks still to go, we can't wait to see what our students create, perform, build, ride and discover next!
