2026 MEPS STEM Expo

Celebrating Curiosity, Creativity and Big Ideas

As part of National Science Week, we were thrilled to celebrate the curiosity, creativity and innovation of our students through our MEPS STEM Expo.

This year, 76 students chose to take on the challenge of entering the STEM Expo, dedicating countless hours at home to researching, experimenting, designing, testing and refining their ideas. Behind every project was a student with a curious mind, supported by wonderful families who encouraged them to explore their questions, try new things and proudly share what they discovered with our school community. Not to mention those families behind the scenes who were willing to cut, stick, glue, source equipment, troubleshoot experiments and of course purchase what felt like countless eggs! Your support, encouragement and willingness to get involved (and occasionally get a little messy!) helped make these projects possible.

From invisible ink to erupting volcanoes, bouncy eggs to robotic cranes, water filters to models of Mars and its moons and rockets to fizzy lemons, our Expo truly had it all!

What made the day so special was seeing our students confidently share not only their finished projects but also the research, questions, successes, challenges and discoveries that happened along the way. They demonstrated the very best of STEM learning - being curious, asking questions, solving problems, thinking creatively and never being afraid to test an idea and try again.

We are incredibly proud of every student who took part. Their effort, commitment to learning and inquisitive minds were inspiring to see, and their enthusiasm reminded us just how exciting learning can be when students are given the opportunity to follow their own questions. We are particularly proud of the way so many students were willing to go the extra mile in their learning, dedicating hours of their own time to exploring their passions, extending their knowledge and bringing their ideas to life. Their commitment is a wonderful reminder that some of the most powerful learning happens when their own curiosity leads the way.

A huge thank you also goes to our families for supporting, encouraging and celebrating their children's learning throughout the process.

We couldn't be prouder of our STEM Expo students and after seeing the ideas, creativity and curiosity on display, we are feeling very confident that the future is in some wonderfully bright hands!
