PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Dear Thistlelonians, 

It is my privilege to be Principal of McKinnon and share with you some of the incredible events that have taken place since our Thistlelonians last publication.

Our school continues to thrive with outstanding results last year in the VCE success and also with excellent NAPLAN results in 2024.  

Our whole community is strongly linked together with a common purpose: academic excellence for all our young people and an engaging and positive school experience.  All of us are proud and grateful to be at, what we consider to be, the best public school in Victoria.

SCHOOL NUMBERS/POPULATION

The total student population for 2024 is 2,873. We have 298 teaching and Education Support staff, 49 of whom are ex-students.

SCHOOL COUNCIL 

I extend my gratitude to our School Council members for volunteering their time to support and guide us in overseeing and upholding school governance and policies.
