AWARD-WINNING ALUMNI!
Keira O'Connor
Congratulations to Keira O'Connor (Class of 2020) on her outstanding success at the 2026 Australian Youth Film Festival, where she received the Best Acting Award for her exceptional performance in the short film Passion.

Passion is a powerful short film exploring the emotional fatigue, relentless grind and unwavering love for filmmaking. Told through the eyes of Emma, a young actress chasing success, the film reveals the sacrifices she makes and the resilience she maintains in an industry where success often feels just out of reach.
Emma's journey is a heartfelt tribute to the creatives who give their all for the art rather than the fame. While centred on an actor's experience, Passion speaks to the universal challenges of burnout, perseverance and the pursuit of one's dreams.
Keira's achievement is even more remarkable as she not only stars in the film but also wrote, directed and produced it, showcasing her exceptional creativity, dedication and talent both in front of and behind the camera.

Since graduating from Lilydale High School, Keira has built an impressive career as an actor, producer and director. She is well known for her lead role as Kerri in the Australian television series Flunk and has appeared in a number of feature films, including Data Creep, Lost & Found You, Detention with Daisy, Falling for Daisy and They Kiss At The End.
As a filmmaker, Keira continues to expand her creative portfolio, producing and assistant directing a range of projects while forging a successful career both on screen and behind the scenes.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Keira's achievements and the impact she is making in the Australian film industry. Her passion, creativity and determination are an inspiration to our current students, and we look forward to following her future successes.
Congratulations, Keira, on this well-deserved recognition! 🎥⭐
