SCIENCE IN ACTION

🔬 🧪 Inside the Science Lab

There’s been plenty of hands-on learning, discovery and a little bit of mess happening in Science this term!

🧬 Edible DNA Models

Our Year 10 students built their very own edible DNA models to explore the structure of the double helix — combining science and creativity (with a tasty reward at the end!).

👩‍🔬🔬 Microscopes

Our Year 7 SEALP students have been using microscopes to discover the amazing details of the microscopic world and explore things that are too small to see with the naked eye.

🧪 Oobleck

Science got messy as students explored oobleck, learning how this fascinating non-Newtonian fluid can behave like both a liquid and a solid.

🔥 Physical & Chemical Changes

Students put their scientific knowledge into practice using Bunsen burners to investigate physical and chemical changes and identify the evidence that a change had occurred.

It’s been a fantastic start to Term 3, with our students busy investigating, experimenting and discovering the science all around us! 🔬

⚛️ Atoms...Year 10 Chemistry

It was a race against the clock to see which group could correctly assemble their atom the fastest. A fun and competitive way to put their knowledge of atomic structure into action!
