🌟 Hands-On Learning

Our 2026 Career Exploration Programs are wrapping up this term, with the Care Economy group completing its final session on 17 August, while our Trades Groups 1 & 2 completed their final session on 6 August.

Over seven sessions, 34 Year 10 students took part in the programs, gaining valuable hands-on experience, developing practical skills and exploring a range of exciting career pathways.

🔧 Trades Groups 1 & 2

The program provided students with opportunities to develop practical skills, build confidence and gain a deeper understanding of the industries and careers they may pursue in the future.

Students also participated in a range of valuable enrichment and qualification opportunities, including:

🎓 Career Enrichment Day – focused on pathway exploration, confidence building and future career planning.

🦺 White Card Course (Trades) – providing students with a nationally accredited qualification to support future work experience and employment opportunities.

⛑️ First Aid Course (Care Economy) – providing students with a nationally recognised qualification that can be used at school, in the workplace and in everyday life.

A big congratulations to all of our Year 10 students who participated in the program and embraced these opportunities to learn by doing and explore what their future could look like.

📸 Hands-On in Bricklaying!

Our Year 10 students got stuck into practical bricklaying workshops at Swinburne on 17 July and 6 August, putting their skills to the test and gaining valuable hands-on experience in the world of trades. 🧱🔨
