Moama RSL ANZAC March
Congratulations to Drumline A and Kevin Kiely for representing the school so proudly at the Moama RSL ANZAC March along Meninya Street. Their performance played an important role in setting a respectful and commemorative tone for the event. Thank you also to the MAG students who joined the march, and to the parents who supported the early start and transport of equipment. Your support is always greatly appreciated.
Moama Anglican Grammar ANZAC Service
Our school ANZAC Service, held on Friday 21 April in the Multi-Purpose Stadium, was a moving and memorable occasion. Year 5 student Harry Nichol delivered a stirring performance of the Last Post and the Rouse on trumpet, capturing the spirit of the ANZACs with maturity and skill. Harry’s dedication and commitment to learning the trumpet over many years were rewarded with this moving performance.
The Senior Singers performed a beautiful rendition of Abide with Me, accompanied by Chandra Hale, demonstrating excellent blend and musicality. Jasmine Costin also provided a confident performance of Advance Australia Fair on piano. Well done to all involved.
Barmah ANZAC Service
At the Barmah ANZAC Service, students Payton Polido and Georgia McIntosh represented the school with pride, performing voice and guitar while also serving as flag marshals. A special thank you to music tutor Kim Kneebone for her ongoing support of these students, as well as her own performance at the service for the second consecutive year. This unique event, complete with horses and riders in military dress, continues to be a meaningful community occasion.
Extra-Curricular Instrumental Tuition – Now Open for 2026
MAG offers a comprehensive Extra-Curricular Instrumental Music Program supported by specialist tutors across percussion, brass, woodwind, strings, guitar, piano, drums, bass, voice and rock bands.
The beginning of the year is an ideal time to commence instrumental lessons. Places are limited, and some instruments may have waiting lists. Students already enrolled in the 2025 program do not need to reapply.
If you have any questions regarding Extra or Co-Curricular Music at MAG, please contact Mr Mike Hearn, Head of Student Experience – Extra-Curricular Music Program (K–12) at mhearn@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au
