Primary School

I would like to warmly welcome everyone back to Term 2 and trust that the recent break provided a refreshing change of routine for our students and families. A special welcome is extended to the new students and their families who joined our school either during Term 1 or at the beginning of this term including Miles, Matias, Mann, Mettu and Perera.
Term 2 Co-Curricular Program
The Term 2 Co-Curricular Program offers students a wide range of opportunities to explore new interests, develop skills, and build confidence beyond the classroom. This term’s program includes a variety of sporting, creative, and enrichment activities designed to complement classroom learning and promote student wellbeing. If you have any questions about any of the programs, please feel free to contact Greg Cadd, Head of Student Experience Co-Curricular Programs K–12, via email at gcadd@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au.
Grammar Experiences and Enrolment Interviews
Over the past few weeks, we have had the pleasure of welcoming prospective 2027 Kindergarten students and their families to our Grammar Experience sessions. While students participated in engaging classroom activities, parents attended an information session followed by a school tour, providing an opportunity to showcase our wonderful learning spaces and facilities. Kindergarten enrolment interviews are being held tomorrow in the Resource Centre, and I would like to sincerely thank the staff and Year 6 student leaders who have generously volunteered their time to support the morning.
School Photo Days
School Photo Days have been scheduled for Thursday, 28 May and Friday, 29 May. A detailed timetable will be shared closer to the dates to advise families of their child’s individual and group photo times. Parents should have received a School Photo Envelope from MSP Photography. Students are asked to wear their full Winter Uniform on their photo day. If a student is absent on either day, parents are encouraged to contact MSP Photography directly on (03) 5482 3190 to discuss alternative arrangements.
Primary Assembly
Our recent Assembly was led with confidence by our Chanter House Captains, Ben Millar and Elsie Stevens. The Assembly included a respectful Acknowledgement of Country, the National Anthem, a Bible reading, and a prayer.
We enjoyed piano performances from Jack Brown, Lizette Heinrich, and Imogen, showcasing the musical talent across our school. We also celebrated the outstanding achievement of Miss Briggs, who recently competed at the Adelaide International Horse Trials, and recognised students through our Core Value Awards, acknowledging those who demonstrate compassion, respect, and integrity.
Year 5 students proudly shared their learning about the First Fleet, and important information was shared regarding Mother’s Day celebrations, Co‑Curricular programs and upcoming events. Thank you to all students, staff and families who contributed to and attended such a vibrant and meaningful assembly.
Please note that our next Primary Assembly has been scheduled for Thursday, 21 May due to the Primary Athletics Carnival on the Friday. We look forward to the next Assembly, where the Year 3 students will perform for us. Congratulations to the students below who received a Core Value Award for consistently displaying one or more of the School’s Core Values and Motto. Keep up the great work!

Early Stage 1 Assembly
The Kindergarten students returned to school refreshed last week, following their first term break. Well done to all Kindergarten students who participated in their first Cross Country event last week, and congratulations to the students who received a Kindergarten Superstar award at the recent Stage Assembly.
Stage 3 Assembly
On Wednesday, students in Stage 3 gathered for their Stage Assembly, which was proudly hosted by students in Year 6C. Adelyn and Halle confidently led the assembly, Paddy delivered the Acknowledgement of Country, and Aria led the prayer.
Mr Ward spoke to students about the new rules on the oval and shared important reminders. Lilly and Denny then reflected on the whole-school ANZAC Day Service that everyone attended the previous week. Elara and Savannah provided additional information about upcoming events in Term 2.
Angus and Harry spoke about Cross Country, while Imogen and Shriya shared information about the upcoming Kids’ Literature Quiz. It was a fantastic assembly that celebrated student leadership, achievement, and learning.
