Expression of interest – Sturt Lions FC U18 girls' team trials
Sturt Lions Football Club is currently seeking expressions of interest from female players interested in joining the under 18 girls' team for the upcoming season.
We will be holding a trial session on:
- Date: Wednesday, 5 November
- Time: 7:00 PM
- Location: Karinya Reserve, Shepherds Hill Road, Eden Hills
This is a great opportunity for students who are passionate about soccer and eager to play in a competitive and supportive team environment. All interested players are encouraged to register to attend.

Expression of interest – Goalkeepers for Sturt Lions FC U16 & U18 girls' teams
Sturt Lions Football Club is also currently seeking goalkeepers to join the under 16 and under 18 girls' teams for the upcoming season.
Selected goalkeepers will benefit from sessions focused on skill development such as positioning, reflexes, diving technique and distribution.

Do you know someone in our community whose dedication and passion have made a real difference? Now is your chance to acknowledge their efforts and thank them for inspiring us all to be better Australians. Nominations for the 2026 City of Onkaparinga Australia Day Awards are now open.
These prestigious awards recognise outstanding contributions to our local area, celebrating individuals and groups who have shown exceptional commitment and service.
Award categories for 2026 include:
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year (aged 13-30)
- Little Hero of the Year (aged 12 or less)
- Sportsperson of the Year
- Community Event of the Year
- Active Citizenship (non-Australian Citizen)
When submitting nominations, please provide specific examples of how your nominee has made an outstanding contribution and served as a true inspiration to our community.
