DRAMA
Year 8 choice drama production: Cinderella—The Untold Story
We would like to announce that the year 8 choice drama class will present their production of Cinderella: The Untold Story at 6:30pm on Thursday 20 November in our Performing Arts Centre.
This highly anticipated performance showcases the creativity, enthusiasm and talent of our year 8 drama students.
The Untold Story offers a delightfully unconventional twist on the classic fairytale.
The story begins with the fairytale wedding of a fake Cinderella and Prince Charming, only for the proceedings to be spectacularly interrupted by O'Reilly, the fairy tale fixer, who arrives to set the record straight. In a series of comedic and fast-paced events, the imposters are replaced by the real Cinderella, found in the audience in full costume and an unexpected, unprincely-like character named Chip.
The adventure continues as Cinderella and Prince Chip finally meet at the ball and immediately hit it off. But for Cinderella to secure her happy ending, she must go head-to-head with other classic princesses like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and The Little Mermaid.
This production promises lots of laughter, clever storytelling and memorable moments for the whole family. All members of the school community are warmly invited to attend and support our budding performers.
We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the hard work and courage of our year 8 drama students.
