This week, some of our students will begin sitting their SACE Stage 2 exams, marking a significant milestone in their education. We want all students to know that the entire Aberfoyle Park High School community is supporting you every step of the way.

Your hard work, dedication and preparation have brought you to this important point and we have every confidence in your abilities.

Here are a few reminders to help you perform your best and look after your wellbeing during this busy time:

Study tips:

  • Break your study time into manageable chunks.
  • Review key topics and complete past papers to boost your confidence.
  • Organise your materials and make sure you are familiar with your exam schedule.

Looking after your wellbeing:

  • Take regular mental health breaks. A short walk outside can refresh your focus.
  • Stay hydrated and choose healthy snacks such as fruit, nuts or dark chocolate.
  • Spend a few minutes practicing mindfulness or deep breathing to reduce stress.

Remember, progress is progress, every step matters. Taking breaks is an important part of the study process, not a sign of slacking off.

Best wishes and good luck from everyone at Aberfoyle Park High School. We are proud of you and are cheering you on.

Year 12 farewell lunch – a memorable send-off

On Monday 27 October, we farewelled our year 12 students with a special lunch held on the senior floor. This event was a wonderful opportunity for students to come together as a cohort and reflect on their journey before heading into the exam period.

The event began with a short video message from their year leaders, sharing encouragement and memorable moments from their time together since year 8. Adding to the nostalgia, students also received and read the letters they had written to themselves during their year 8 school camp, a touching reminder of how far they have come and how much they have grown.

The celebrations concluded with a relaxed and enjoyable lunch of pies, pasties and pizza. It was a fantastic way for our year 12s to connect, reminisce, and enjoy each other's company one last time before exams commence.

We wish all our year 12 students the very best for their exams and future endeavours

Our 2025 school captains delivered inspiring speeches, reflecting on a truly unique high school experience. They spoke candidly about beginning their secondary years amid the challenges of the Covid pandemic, lockdowns and navigating remote learning. They reminisced about the unpredictability of wild state weather storms and celebrated unforgettable moments from sports days, academic achievements and the much-anticipated school formal.

Our principal, Marion Coady, addressed the cohort with warm wishes, commending their resilience, achievements and growth throughout their time at Aberfoyle Park High School.

To the Class of 2025, we wish you every success as you embark on your next adventure.

Year 11 food and hospitality students impress with café brunch creations

Our year 11 food and hospitality students have successfully completed their café brunch task, impressing staff and peers alike with their creativity and practical skills in contemporary café-style dining.

Each student was challenged to design and present their own unique brunch dish, with an emphasis on modern flavours, stylish presentation and current café trends.

Some highlights from the task included beautifully plated eggs benedict, indulgent waffles, and a standout 'brookie', a brownie-cookie hybrid, served with homemade ice cream. These dishes demonstrated not only the students’ growing confidence in the kitchen, but also their flair for innovation and attention to detail.

Late last term, Hannah and Alex, our 2025 school captains, had the honour of attending a special invitation event for school leaders at the Governor of South Australia's residence. This prestigious occasion provided an outstanding opportunity for student leaders from across the sta to connect and learn from one another.

As exemplary leaders at Aberfoyle Park High School, Hannah and Alex have served the school community in 2025 with passion, consideration, and a strong drive to make our school community the best it can be for all students.

Together with vice captains Matilda and Lacey, they have approached their roles with integrity and a genuine commitment to positive change.

During the event, Hannah and Alex heard inspiring addresses from Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson, Governor of South Australia and Professor Martin Westwell, Chief Executive of the Department for Education.

The event also presented a valuable opportunity to connect and share ideas with other school leaders from across the state.

We are extremely proud of Hannah, Alex, and the entire leadership team for representing Aberfoyle Park High School with distinction and for the dedication and energy they bring to their roles.
