NEVR Music Ensemble Day
Wangaratta High School Hosts Event
On Thursday, September 18th, Wangaratta High School was proud to host the annual Northeast Victorian Region (NEVR) Music Ensemble Day. Organised by the ever-energetic NEVR regional directors, Julie Taylor and Tricia Baggs, the event brought together over 15 schools from across North Eastern Victoria - from Corryong to Yea, Beechworth to Shepparton, for a celebration of musical talent and collaboration.
Students performed a vibrant mix of styles and ensembles, showcasing the rich diversity of music programs in our region. Our very own Symphonic Band delivered a fantastic performance, including a medley of Billy Joel classics that wowed the audience!
We were honoured to welcome Bernie Boulton (Area Executive Director), Scott Watson (Senior Education Improvement Leader) and Steve Pickering (Regional Manager) as special guests. The day was officially opened by Executive Principal Dave Armstrong.
A big thank you to all the students, staff, and schools who made the day such a success. What an inspiring celebration of music and community!
Thank you to Kev McGennan for capturing this brilliant event.
