Importance of Connection
Sponsored by Family Connect, SchoolTV supports our College community and is available through our College website. The latest SchoolTV topic is The Importance of Connection.
Strong, supportive connections play an important role in a young person's mental health, wellbeing and development. Feeling connected to family, friends, school and community can provide children and adolescents with a sense of belonging, security and acceptance, helping them feel valued and supported as they grow.
As young people navigate friendships, increasing independence, social pressures and the digital world, maintaining meaningful connections can sometimes become more challenging. Positive relationships and a strong sense of belonging can help protect against loneliness and isolation, while building resilience, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
This edition of SchoolTV explores the importance of connection and offers practical strategies to help strengthen relationships, foster belonging and ensure young people feel supported, understood and connected.

Library Opening Hours
From Week 9, Term 3 through to Week 6, Term 4, the Library's opening hours will change slightly.
The Library will open at 7:45 am each morning during this period.
Equipment Reminder
Students must bring their own headphones, calculators, and laptop chargers to school and have them available for use when required.
The Library will no longer loan these items to students, so please ensure students come prepared with the equipment they need each day.
Reminder: Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Arrangements
The car park for the businesses opposite the College has become increasingly congested because students are being dropped off, picked up, and congregating in this area. This space must not be used for school drop-off or pick-up, and students should not gather there before or after school.
These car parks are private business spaces and are required for their customers. Using these areas creates congestion, impacts local businesses, and raises safety concerns for students and motorists.
Parents and carers are asked to please make alternative arrangements with their child. Students should use the College Stop-Drop-Go zone or arrange to meet in a safe, approved location on a nearby side street.
Thank you for your support in helping us maintain safe and respectful practices for our students, families and surrounding community.
