BOOK WEEK AND BOOK FAIR

Get Ready for Book Week 2026!

Stories, costumes, and creative fun are taking over our school in Week 8 (August 31st – September 4th). Only 2 weeks away!

We have a fantastic lineup of activities planned across the week to celebrate our love of books.

The Main Event: Dress-Up Parade

When: Wednesday, September 2nd at 2:20 PM

Where: School Assembly Area (weather permitting)

Details: Students are invited to dress up as their favorite book character! 

Families and carers are warmly welcome to join us and younger children are also welcome to dress up and join in as well. 

The Lamont Book Fair is Coming!

Our annual Book Fair will be set up inside the School Library all week (during Book Week 31st-4th September), offering a wonderful selection of books. It's a great opportunity to stock up on new home reads while directly supporting our school library.

Opening Hours: Monday afternoon, August 31st through to Friday afternoon, September 4th

Before School: 8:30 AM until the morning bell music plays

After School: 3:15 PM onwards

We can’t wait to celebrate reading with our wonderful school community!

Key dates to remember:

Monday 31st August  - Book Week and Lamont Book Fair begins

Monday 31st August - Marc McBride Author Visit for Years 3-6

Wednesday 2nd September - Book Week parade 2.30pm on Assembly area 

Friday 4th September - Last day for Lamont Book Fair

Friday 9th September - Sarah Speedie Author Visit for Foundation - Year 2 (Week 9)
