Around Our Level
On Monday the 4th of May, our students boarded a bus to Morrisons Reserve in Mount Evelyn for our Whole-school Athletics Day. The sun was out and the wind was chilly, but that didn’t stop our students doing their best in each of the events, which included the bean bag toss, 100 metre sprint, long jump, vortex throw, and hurdles. Our students had a great day, and they went home proudly wearing their well-earned ribbons . A huge thank you to all our parent volunteers on the day, and to Mrs Hurley for running the event on the day.

On Wednesday the 6th of May, our students visited the Mother’s Day Stall with their buddies to make purchases for their Mums, Grandparents, and special persons. We also made cards and printed our handprints on a special Mother’s Day Poem. A big thank you to our Parents Association for all their hard work.
In Literacy, we have been learning about the sounds that ‘Gg’ and ‘Bb’ make and continuing to revise our heart words and to search for these in texts. In Comprehension, we have been learning to order and sequence events, like ‘how to plant a flower’.

In Maths, we have been learning about how to model numbers on a tens frame and how to recognise, make, and write numbers to 10.
In Integrated Studies, we have been learning about Mother’s Day and making cards for our loved ones.

Last week we commenced our Perceptual Motor Program (PMP). We had a blast climbing on the ninja wall, learning to hula, yoga station, bean bag toss, and using the bouncers. Thank you to all our wonderful parent helpers. The next PMP session will be on Friday the 15th of May at 9am.
