Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge

The 2026 Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge is now open, encouraging children from birth to Year 10 to read, with the theme "Stories to discover. Stories to tell".

Registration is open, and participants must log their books by September 4th, 2026, to receive a certificate of achievement. The challenge aims to promote literacy and includes 18,000+ book options.

Prep to Year 2 students need to have read 30 books, or have the books read to them. 20 of these need to be ‘Challenge’ books.

Year 3 - 6 students need to read 15 books independently. 10 of these need to be 'Challenge' books, and the others may be student choice books.

The list of Challenge books is on the website. We have many of them in our library and they are marked with ‘Challenge Stickers’. Any book read by the students since the beginning of this year may be entered onto the Reading Challenge website.

In the Junior School, the teachers enter the books that are read in class, but students may get their usernames and passwords from their teacher so they can add on extra books themselves.

Year 3 - 6 students enter all their books independently.

Book Fair

Book Fair is a fun reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.

All students will be given the chance to visit the Book Fair on Thursday the 14th of May to complete a wish list, which they will take home. We will also take photos of the shelves, along with prices, so you can see what your child would like to buy. We will send you the link to the photos after we have set up the Book Fair.

If you would like your child to have some books, you have 2 options:

  • Option 1 – Pay Online: Pay online and write the receipt number on the back of the wish list, along with the titles of the books you have paid for. Then send your child to the Book Fair with the receipt number and amount on the back of their wish list. This will need to be handed to the cashier.

  • Option 2 – Pay at the Book Fair: Families can come to Book Fair to buy items before or after school on Friday 15th, Monday 18th or Tuesday 19th of May. Cash or Eftpos will be available.

Book Fair arrives on Wednesday the 13th of May.

Shopping hoursFriday 15th, Monday 18th, and Tuesday 19th May in the mornings from 8:20am - 9:00 am and in the afternoons from 3:30pm - 4:15 pm each day.

We look forward to an exciting Book Fair! Remember, all purchases benefit our school.
