Library News

Opening hours are 8am – 5pm, Monday through to Friday during regular school days
70 Years Celebration
On Sunday 26 October the school celebrated its 70 Years Anniversary. The library was open to welcome alumni and showcase the newly digitised school yearbooks in print and digital form. Past students were able to peruse MGSC magazines at leisure and were delighted to see how the library space has transformed and modernized. Likewise, library staff were fascinated to hear nostalgic recollections from alumni about the library and other school spaces when they attended school. Videos and stills from the archive were played on the library screen, given the generosity of Melbourne Video Archives who curated a 70 Years Anniversary Video for this event. We speak for everyone who was present - it was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Book Club
Our last club for 2025 will be held during Headstart on Friday 5 December. The two books students have selected to read this term are The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Fault in our Stars, both of which are available from the library desk to borrow.
Students are welcome to drop by the library or email library@mgsc.vic.edu.au at any time with details of their name and class to join.
