Last Wednesday the MPH reverberated with the sights and sounds of our Performing Arts and elective music ensembles.
From satirical plays to classical tunes, world music to contemporary rock, 160 students showcased their talents in the Performing Arts arena.
Congratulations to the singers, musicians, dancers and actors who performed on the night. Many thanks to the staff who not only gave up their evening but also give their time and expertise every week to rehearse with our ensembles.
Our talented Year 12 elective music class had the opportunity to perform some of their HSC pieces for an appreciative audience of family and friends on Wednesday evening.
Students were able to experience the space and environment they will be using for their performance exams in just a few short weeks. The repertoire covered everything from ragtime jazz to musical theatre and modern rock. Many thanks go to Mr Haymes and Miss Spragg for their tireless preparation with the students, and Mr Clark for setting up sound for the evening.
This week saw Trinity's very first Battle of the band's performance held in our very own Performing Arts Centre. Students from across the school visited to hear the Yr 8 rock band, Soul band as well as the Yr 10 & 11 bands.
The music students had the opportunity to share some of their amazing talents, and we look forward to being able to showcase hard work through future lunchtime events.
