Our students still light the way for us

I was delighted to share the excellent results of this year’s MMG survey with students this week.  Students in Years 6 – 12 rated their experience at the College in the ‘High’ band, with significant improvement recorded in eight of eleven categories compared to 2023 – a truly outstanding result for the College and our staff.  Students rated Overall Satisfaction, Facilities and Resources, and Trinity’s Reputation particularly highly.  Growth was also seen in Religious and Values Education, the Sports Program, Communication, and Management and Leadership, demonstrating a school culture that continues to evolve, strengthen and respond to the needs of our community.

These results affirm that Trinity is a place where students are known, valued and supported, and where a positive and dynamic culture underpins learning and growth. We thank all families and students for their feedback – information which plays an essential role in shaping the future of the College.

That same sense of community was on full display during Book Week 2025.  Students across the College brought remarkable enthusiasm and creativity to this celebration of reading and storytelling.  From imaginative costumes to engaging discussions about books and characters, students embraced the week with energy and joy.

A highlight for me was the way our Senior School students supported the juniors, attending their events, joining the fun, and creating a sense of excitement across the College.  This intergenerational connection reminded younger students that reading is a lifelong joy, while also highlighting the leadership and generosity of spirit that our seniors model so well.

We also commend those Year 11 students preparing to nominate for leadership positions for 2026.  This process is an important milestone that reflects courage, maturity, and a willingness to serve our community.  At Trinity, leadership is not about titles but about integrity, empathy and inspiring others.  We are proud of every student who is stepping forward, knowing each has something unique to contribute to the life of the College.

These achievements are a powerful reminder that our students still light the way for us – through their integrity, imagination, service and courage.  Their energy continues to inspire staff, strengthen our community, and illuminate a path toward a future where every student is empowered to grow, lead and thrive.
