The JSC is excited to launch a new feature in our school newsletter — The Teacher Spotlight.

Every newsletter, two teachers will be interviewed by our JSC reps in order for the school community to learn about the awesome things our staff do both in and out of the classroom.

What do you like most about being a teacher?

I love seeing the growth in the kids and also how rewarding teaching is.

Where were you born?

I was born in Hong kong

What is your favourite book or movie/TV show to watch?

My favourite movie is Prison break

What is your favourite excursion you have been on? Why?

Gumbaya world has by far been my favourite so far. 

Are you a neat or messy teacher?

At school I am a neat teacher.

If you could have any other job, what would it be?

I would love to be an Afl player for Essendon, if I wasn't a teacher. 

When you were a primary school student, were you naughty or well-behaved?

During Primary School I was a well-behaved student 

What is your favourite food?

Pizza definitely is my favourite food.

Do you have any pets?

I have a very cute dog called Fletch.

Do you have any siblings? 

Yes, I have one older brother and one younger brother.

Do you have a particular fear? 

I am scared of ants.

What inspired you to become a teacher?

My grandma inspired me to become a teacher.

What subject did you struggle with most when you were a student at school?

I struggled with Writing the most when I was a student at school.

What do you like most about being a teacher?

I really like when kids get really excited about Science and are excited to learn about it.

What is your favourite year level to teach? Why?

Grade five because it has really cool science content I get to teach.

Where were you born?

I was born in Hobart, Tasmania

What is your favourite thing to do with your family?

I like to watch movies and go to theatre shows with my family.

What is your favourite book or movie/TV show to watch?

The Harry Potter series is my favourite to read.

What is a skill you would love to have that you don’t have already? 

I would love to be able to rock climb.

I have taught at Wooranna park primary, Parkdale primary, Mentone primary school and kindergarten
