Art

Year 11 and 12

At the end of Term Three, Year 11 and 12 Art students visited the Shepparton Art Museum to view the 'Brett Whitely: inside the studio' exhibit.

Ms Warner, organised a tour guide and talk with the curator of the exhibit for students, providing them with an insightful and personal gallery experience.

Students were blessed with the unexpected opportunity to speak with Shepparton Art Museums’ very own curator, Caroline Esbenshade.

Students were able to ask questions, whilst seeing first-hand how a curator installs and organises works of art in a gallery.

The children's art area was by far the most favourite section of the gallery for Saint Mary's year 11 students, containing an area for them to create their own drawings.

Thanks go out to Ms Warner for her hard work and dedication in organising this event for our senior students and enabling such a special experience.

Year 7 Art

Year 7 have been exploring the elements of art. The first week has been spent studying the element of line, creating continual line drawings and portraits. Well done to year 7, who have already shown huge potential with creativity and artistic, technical skill.
