VCE/VM

The Big Issue On Thursday 26th June
The Year 11 VCE VM students attended The Big Issue Classroom. They participated in interactive activities and heard from a guest speaker who shared their personal experience with homelessness. Students learned that the path to homelessness can be varied and often unexpected, shaped by individual circumstances. They also explored the different types of homelessness and the range of supports and services available to those in need. The Year 11 students demonstrated great empathy and understanding, taking away valuable insights they can carry with them into the future.
The Men’s Shed
The Year 11 and 12 VCE VM students have been working on a community project in collaboration with the local Men’s Shed. Together with the volunteers, students are constructing four picnic tables to bring back to the school grounds. This project has offered students the opportunity to learn new skills, listen to the stories and experiences of the Men’s Shed volunteers, and contribute meaningfully to their school community. We look forward to sharing the finished products with you soon.
Breakfast Cooking Challenge
As part of their Personal Development and Numeracy studies, the Year 11 VCE VM students organised a shared breakfast with the Year 10 Ignite and Year 12 VCE VM students. In preparation, students explored the importance of breakfast in supporting a healthy and focused start to the day. They discovered that many of their peers tend to skip breakfast or eat later in the morning.
It was wonderful to see students from different year levels come together to enjoy a meal, engage in conversation, and build stronger connections.
