Year 9 Boys Cricket - Thursday 12th February
We went on to play last week with zero wins in our hand it was fun playing we had fun where we gave our 100% efforts, but it still wasn't enough. in our first match with good news, we lost the toss and went on bat, harprabh and mahir open'd the batting. with a quick wicket loss of mahir, yash came into bat, harprabh and yash had a small partnership, but with a bad call harprabh got run-out it was tragic, then arshveer came in they stabilized a bit, after some time they got out. we ended of making a total score of 60 runs. we bowled didnt bowl that well because we had bowlers who didnt even know how to bowl properly but still we did our best, with arshveer getting 3 wickets in 1 over including 2 stumping and a catch by yash;

Year 7 Volleyball - Monday 23rd February
The first year 7 teams went out on the 23rd of Feb to compete in the Volleyball competition. A girls' team and a mixed team that played in the boys' competition. The girls managed to win a game during their round robin and competed for fifth place. The mixed team were able to get to the semi-finals having won two of their round robin games but unfortunately went down to the Grange in a close game finishing the competition in fourth. A valiant effort considering Brinbeal had the only mixed team in the boys' competition. Both teams exceeded expectations considering they had only played together a handful of times prior and with some more practice they could be competing for first place.
While wearing the Brinbeal colours the students represented the school with Pride and were tenacious in their pursuit of victory. Aspiring to Achieve excellence is showcasing the school values while competing. They were respectful to the students from other schools and were a leading example for all students at Brinbeal to follow.
Thanks for reading and Goodluck to the other teams heading out!

Year 9 Volleyball - Thursday 26th February
Playing volleyball was really fun, especially against other schools such as Tarneit Senior, Bemin Secondary (seniors), Truganina P-9 and Doherty's Creek. All teams we went against, including us, showed great sportsmanship after the games. Even though we lost, our team still stayed strong and stayed composed through all games. However, we had to wait like 40 minutes for the bus which was pretty bad.

Volleyball was a very nice experience and even though we didnt win any of our games it doesn't matter because we all had fun as a team and we all worked together and brought us all closer. We all found it fun and we liked supporting the guys on our off games. It was a every amazing experience I am looking forward for next year!

Year 8 Volleyball - Tuesday 3rd March
Today was crazy—this was a completely new experience for me. Me in volleyball? Never would I think I'd be here, but there's a first for everything. The girls' team did an outstanding job—we lost 2, but we won 2. We beat Baden Powell and Bemin! With our last round to get 3rd place...it was neck to neck, we were on the third set, and everything was on the line. But we did it! Hooray! I'd like to give my thanks to Ms. Dora, Mr. Potter and even Mr. Dan (We felt your spirit with us).

On the 3rd of March we had the privilege of being able to represent Brinbeal in eagle stadium, we went through four matches and won against Baden Powell College and Bemin Secondary College, making us 3rd place, we went through our ups and downs of being discouraged then growing as a team and learning to communicate with each other. We had so much fun competing against other schools. Thank you to the teachers that helped us throughout this ephemeral journey.

Year 8 Tennis - Friday 6th Match
Today’s tennis matches were really challenging and every game felt intense. I tried my best, but I lost some matches along the way even though it was hard, I kept playing and didn’t give up. In the end our team came second, which still felt like a good result after all the tough rallies and effort.

The matches today were very competitive and needed a lot of focus, some games didn’t go the way I hoped, and it was frustrating at times, but I kept trying until the end. Finishing in second place showed that the hard work paid off, even though it wasn’t easy. It was a good experience and something to learn from for the next time.

On the 6th March Brinbeal students participated in year 8 tennis. It was a fun experience for all of us, and we got a chance to socialise and play with a few other teams. We got either 2/3 place but with more practice I believe we can win in 2027.
