Reader's Notes

In this edition, I asked Mr Mason all about books! Mr Mason teachers Humanities and organised this year's NT Tour!

What book are you currently reading, or read last?

I read Quintin Tarantino's book called Cinema Speculation, it is about the films that he took the most inspiration from when making his own movies and why he thinks so fondly of these movies.

What was your favourite book as a kid?

I grew up loving The Series of Unfortunate Events series, which when I read back or watch the Netflix adaptation was quite depressing for a child to be reading.

What is your all time favourite book genre?Crime/Fantasy

What book is next on your TBR list?

Next up I have attempted to get into Manga Death Note in particular however next up is Dave Grohl's autobiography.

If you had to read books from only one author for the rest of your life, who would you pick?Hard to say, probably John Steinbeck because of the number of classics he has, otherwise Stephen King purely for the number of books and options I would have.

What makes or breaks a book for you?Similar to television or movies, anytime the main characters lack substance or are generically written.
