Yr 12 Primary School Day

With three weeks left of their schooling at Wantirna College, the Year 12 students kicked started their Celebration with the annual Year 12 Primary School Day on Tuesday 8 October. This event was filled with nostalgia as the students reflected on their 13 years of schooling.

The event began with a BBQ Lunch with Principals of local Primary Schools were invited to join us. It was very special to see the Principals reunite and catch up with their former students. During lunch, the Year 12 students also took the opportunity to share heart-warming stories and reflections on their time during Primary School. Students took the opportunity to thank their Primary School Principals for guiding them through their early educational journeys. It was a touching moment that reminded everyone of the strong bonds formed in those formative years.

The festivities continued with a variety of Primary School activities. Students relived their childhood through sports games like 'Octopus' and 'What's the Time, Mr. Wolf'. Laughter echoed across the Oval as they participated in these classic games, embracing the joy of their younger days.

Other activities included Macaroni Art and Chatterbox making. Students were asked to make their mark but placing their thumb print on the Fingerprint Mural. This will be hung up on the wall in the Pathways Hub Courtyard with plans for future Year 12 cohorts to add Fingerprint Murals to  alongside it.

Overall, the Year 12 Primary School Day was a heart-warming celebration of community and nostalgia. It served as a beautiful reminder of the importance of our roots and the impact of primary school on our lives as we prepare to step into new adventures.
