Wow, it’s Term 4 already!
With the end of the year fast approaching, despite regular classroom and email reminders there is still a great deal of overdue Library books out there. Reminder emails are sent weekly to students, so please check your Junk folder in case there is one lurking in there. Remember – Library books are a shared commodity and need to be returned so others can enjoy reading them. All books need to be returned by the end of this Term. Thanks for your help.
The final 2024 Artisan of the Month is closing next week: 8pm Sunday 27 October. All details can be found on the Library Teams page – AotM channel.
A quick overview: there are three categories - Student, Staff, and Family & Friends. Submissions can be emailed to library@wantirnacollege.vic.edu.au
If it is a Family & Friends submission, please mention which student or staff member you are connected to. When submitting, please state in the email "I declare that this entry is all my own work"
Resident Writers is a chance for all writers and poets out there to share their talents with the school community. It is held once a term, and there are three categories - Students, Staff, and Family & friends - with a prize for the winning student entry (winners of the Staff and F&F categories get honour and glory).
As a rough guide works should be between 250 - 350 words, shorter ok but not significantly longer.
Send your entries to library@wantirnacollege.vic.edu.au with the subject line Resident Writers. Entries close at the start of Week 8, Monday 25 November.
If it is a Family & Friends submission, please mention which student or staff member you are connected to. By submitting you agree to be published to the school community (on Teams, in the College Yearbook, etc) - please let the Library know if you want to submit but prefer to keep your work anonymous. Past entries can be read in the resident Writers Gallery at the top of the Library Team – Resident Writers channel.
Clubs are back - bigger and better than ever before. Which Club will you join?
