Our Prep students had a fantastic day on their literacy excursion to Fullers Bookshop and Simmons Park in Lindisfarne.

At Fullers Bookshop, students enjoyed the engaging story Is This a Plum? By Dan and Finn Ojari, led by the Children's Book Specialist, Sophie, before exploring the children's section to browse a wide range of books. The highlight of our visit was choosing our very own book to take home, helping to foster a love of reading and excitement for books. It was great to see students thoughtfully selecting stories and books that matched their interests and eagerly sharing their choices with their classmates.

After our visit to the bookshop, we headed to Simmons Park where students enjoyed lunch together before spending time playing with their friends. The park provided a great opportunity to run around and enjoy the sunny weather.

The excursion was a fantastic way to bring our literacy learning beyond the classroom while creating special memories together. We would like to thank Fullers Bookshop for providing such a meaningful experience and helping inspire a lifelong love of reading in our Prep students.
