Child Safety

Child Safety Advocates
Overnewton Anglican Community College (the College) is committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and culturally safe environment that prioritises the safety and wellbeing of all students and young people. With zero tolerance for child abuse, the College actively works to identify and manage potential risks of harm. We are committed to providing a child safe setting where students and young people feel secure and empowered to have their voices heard when decisions are made that impact their lives.
To support this commitment, the College has appointed Child Safety Advocates who play a vital role in maintaining a child-safe environment across the College community. The advocates work closely with the College Leadership Team and staff to promote child safety and wellbeing, respond to concerns raised by students and families, and ensure adherence to child safety policies and procedures. They also provide guidance and support to staff, foster a culture of safety, and serve as key contacts for any child safety-related matters involving students, staff and volunteers.
