Student Leadership 

Student leadership continues to be a strong focus across both the Senior and Junior campuses, with an overwhelming response from students eager to contribute to their school community. 

This year we received more than 50 applications from the Senior Campus and over 90 applications from the Junior Campus, highlighting the enthusiasm students have for taking on leadership roles and making a positive impact within the college.

Following the application process, candidates were shortlisted, with teacher references reviewed to help ensure we select students who demonstrate the values, responsibility, and commitment expected of our leaders. 

We are pleased to share that interviews have now been completed across both campuses, and student leadership teams have now been finalised. Successful candidates will be presented within year level assemblies at the beginning of Term 2.

At Year 12, the cohort is already being led by an amazing group of students, who are passionate and proud to represent all students across the college. The Year 12 leadership team includes Zainab Jumshaid and Parisay Fathima as College Captains, with Hermila Abuye and Helice Parmar serving as Vice Captains.

At the Senior Campus, Pav Joia and Riley Huynh are currently serving as the wonderful Year 11 Year Level Captains. They will soon be joined by additional Vice Captains, who will further bolster the opportunities and initiatives targeting the Year 11 cohort. 

By the start of Term 2, we will confirm House Captains and Year Level Captains across all year levels and houses at both campuses. Each of the six houses will have two captains at each campus, working together to lead house spirit, support school initiatives, and represent their peers.

Some students who were not selected for a role will still be invited to join the leadership committee so they can continue to build their leadership and have an opportunity to contribute to events and initiatives around the school.  

We are excited by the strong interest shown by students and look forward to formally introducing our full Student Leadership Team early next term. These students will play an important role in shaping school culture, leading initiatives, and supporting their peers throughout the year.
