Celebrating Invisible Achievement

Strength in Struggle

Last Tuesday, after attending the school’s end-of-year Awards Ceremony, I felt deeply inspired by the success and excellence our students displayed. Their hard work deserves to be celebrated. Yet as a college counsellor, my heart is also drawn to honour another kind of achievement, one that is quieter but just as meaningful.

I want to acknowledge the students and families who are struggling yet still choosing good each day. Those who wake up and keep going when life feels heavy. Those who face anxiety, loneliness, or uncertainty, yet continue to show up with courage and responsibility. Those who reach out for support, take small brave steps, learn new skills, and refuse to give up. Those learning to repair relationships, manage emotions, and grow bit by bit.

The Bible reminds us: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)

To every student and family quietly fighting your own battles: we honour you. Your courage matters. Your effort matters. Your perseverance matters. Heaven sees you. Keep going, you are growing in resilience, character, and hope.
