Celebrating Women's Day

CELEBRATING WOMEN'S DAY AT KAMBRYA

International Women’s Day, observed on March 8th every year, is an important occasion dedicated to celebrating the achievements and contributions of women worldwide. It serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for gender equality and the need to address issues such as discrimination, violence, and inequality that many women face. Women's Day is not just a day of recognition but a call to action, urging individuals and societies to work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable world where women have equal opportunities and rights. It's a time to reflect on progress made towards diminishing gender stigma, acknowledging the challenges ahead, and reaffirming our commitment to empowering women in all aspects of life.

On the 13th of March the Kambrya community celebrated International Women's Day. It was an absolute blast!

A big thanks to all the staff and students who joined in to make our celebrations so exciting. Here's a quick rundown of the awesome stuff we got up to:

Bracelet-Making x Bonding:

Our creative sides unravelled! We whipped up some seriously cool wristbands, showing off our individual styles while also having a nice time chatting with our mates.

Awesome Performances:

Our stage was on fire with talent! From soulful Aleisha Keys to Regina Spektor, we showcased the incredible skills of our fellow students, spreading love and inspiration. Huge shout-out to Nikita, Nidhi, Paru, Lilly Leigh and Charlotte for their amazing performances.

Snap at the Photo Booth:

Our photo booth was a MASSIVE hit, with props and poses galore. We captured some really funny and memorable

moments, and pictures will be coming out

soon! Aimen did a great job as photographer for the day.

We’re so grateful to everyone who participated, and especially to all the lovely teachers and the Events team who helped out with the

celebrations. Tracey, Mrs. Mooney, Ms. Johnson, Debbie, Ms. Major, Mr. Violi, Ms. Violi, you’re all legends! Thanks to the Events and Fundraising Committee members’ dedication to helping out was super impressive and they all contributed so well to the success of the event; we look forward to many more!
