🎶 MDP Lunchtime Pop-Up Concerts: More Music Ahead! 🎵
The Music Development Program's (MDP) lunchtime pop-up concerts have been a hit! Our school yard has been alive with the sound of music, thanks to the talented performers and ensembles who've shared their skills with us.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen and heard performances from our Stage Band, Drum Line, Guitar Ensemble and some featured members of the Junior Concert Band!
Don’t worry if you've missed out—there's more to come! We're thrilled to announce that we'll be continuing these fantastic concerts in the weeks ahead. Keep an eye out on Campus for performances from our Senior Vocal Group (SVG) and Concert Bands in week 9. Get ready for more uplifting melodies and impromptu performances to brighten up your lunch breaks.

STUDIO CONCERT SERIES
If you’re looking for more ways to support our talented MDP members, we have our first Studio Concert for 2024 coming up on Wednesday 27th of March in the Kambrya Theatre, starting from 4:45pm. It’s free and all are welcome!
Studio concerts are always very well attended and well received. It’s a chance for students to showcase the solo/group repertoire they’ve worked on in lessons and an in many cases, it’s an opportunity to demonstrate a new skill, throw it all out there and wear your heart on your sleeve. The MDP students in 2024 will be doing just this and whilst the studio concert series might just seem like a ‘little performance’, they’re so much more. Students demonstrate incredible growth – both musically and in their self-esteem – between these concerts taking place.
ENSEMBLE CONCERT
Also, another reminder to save the date for the Semester 1 Ensemble Concert on Thursday 27th June. This event will take place at the Berwick Church of Christ and is a compulsory event for MDP members. It will feature all of the college ensembles and is a wonderful way to see the essence of what MDP is all about. Free entry and all friends, family and staff are welcome.
