NAZARETH DAY CELEBRATIONS
Our Nazareth Day celebrations began with a special assembly, bringing our school community together to reflect on what it means to be part of the Nazareth family and to recognise the many achievements of our students.
Faith, Wisdom and Knowledge Awards 👏
We were proud to present our annual Faith, Wisdom and Knowledge Awards to students who consistently embody these values in their everyday lives. These are prestigious awards, presented to students who have demonstrated truly outstanding achievement in these areas. Congratulations to the recipients of these awards!
Sporting Awards 🏆
The assembly also provided an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our Term 2 and Term 3 SIS sporting teams, with Best Player and Coach's Awards presented across a wide range of sports.

House Spirit Cup👑
The final presentation of the morning was the highly anticipated Nazareth House Spirit Cup. Following its reintroduction two years ago, the award now runs across the full school year, from one Nazareth Day to the next, recognising participation and achievement in all aspects of College life.
House points are earned through sporting events, academic achievement, commendations, co-curricular involvement and many other contributions to the Nazareth community.
After winning the inaugural two years of the renewed competition in 2024 and 2025, MacKillop House handed over the title this year to Chisholm House, who claimed first place with an outstanding 11,371 points.

The day's fun had only just begun!
💐Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Nazareth College Community Association (NCCA), this year's Nazareth Day was bigger and better than ever. Students enjoyed an expanded range of rides and activities, along with extended time to soak up all the excitement. Combined with perfect sunny weather, the day provided the ideal opportunity for students to celebrate, connect and create lasting memories with their peers.
There was something for everyone, with students enjoying thrilling rides including the Music Trip, Scrambler, Meltdown and Toxic Drop, as well as a huge range of activities such as Human Foosball, the Petting Zoo, Gladiator Ring, Sumo Suits, Battle Axe, House craft activities, Photo Booth, Karaoke, a live DJ, Choc Toss, Lucky Jars, Lucky Dip, Cosplay and Raffles as well as the very popular Dunk Tank!
Of course, no Nazareth Day would be complete without fantastic food, our House teams and NCCA certainly delivered! Across the afternoon, students devoured hundreds of slices of pizza, chicken kebabs, falafel, spring rolls, buckets of hot chips, donuts, popcorn, sausages, slushies, fairy floss and potato twists. Café Naz also proved enormously popular, serving a mouth-watering array of burgers and sweet treats. It's safe to say our students came hungry!
Beyond the rides, games and food, it was wonderful to see so many positive interactions and genuine connections taking place across the College. Whether students were relaxing in the sunshine with friends, enjoying a friendly game of cards or chess, testing their skills in the E-Sports Room, or cheering on their classmates, the spirit of the day was one of community, inclusion and fun.
Nazareth's Got Talent🎥
After an action-packed four hours of activities, the celebrations concluded with one of the most anticipated events on the Nazareth calendar, Nazareth's Got Talent.

The calibre of performances was exceptional, making the judges' task incredibly difficult.
🥇First Place was awarded to Joshua Tomson and Jacob Tomson for their energetic performance of Never Too Much by Luther Vandross.
🥈Second Place went to Sophie McKinlay for her beautiful and moving original song, Strangers.
🥉Third Place was awarded to Lucas Ke and James Li for their heart-warming rendition of Gossec Gavotte on violin and piano.
Congratulations to all performers for their courage, creativity and talent.
The Collaboration that made it successful
Thank you to our staff, House leaders, volunteers, NCCA and student organisers who helped make Nazareth Day 2026 such a memorable success.
💐A special thanks to Ms Caitlin Mackay, Ms Linda Smith and her VM class for all of the pre-work and research in the months leading up to Nazareth Day. Their planning and research of ideas was invaluable!
Most importantly, thank you to our students, whose enthusiasm, positivity and House spirit made the day truly special. It was a fitting celebration of the vibrant community that makes Nazareth College such a wonderful place to learn, grow and belong.

Naz Day was a great experience, with the whole college coming together to celebrate our community and the Nazarene people. It was a privilege to have so many rides, activities and food stalls organised for us, while also recognising students and houses for their efforts throughout the year. My favourite part was watching Mr Cowan get dunked, with students showing no mercy, before finishing the day with an entertaining Talent Quest won by Josh and Jacob, who finally took out the win after being on the podium for many years. It’s unfortunate that this was my last Naz Day as a Year 12 student, but it’s definitely one I’ll never forget.

I really enjoyed Naz Day because it was an amazing day where everyone could get involved and spend time together. I especially loved the activities and the positive atmosphere throughout the day. From amazing rides to great food, I could not get enough of it! It was a great way to finish the term and make some good memories with my friends. Overall, Naz Day is definitely my highlight of the year, and I can’t wait until next year!
