Principal's Report

Dear Parents, Guardians, and friends of Nazareth 

As Term 3 concludes, I take this opportunity to thank our Nazareth College Community Association (NCCA) for their generous contribution towards the rides and entertainment that helped make our Nazareth Day celebrations such a success.

Our students enjoyed a wonderful week of festivities, commencing with the Nazareth Day Mass on Monday 7 September, led by Fr Cameron Smith, a past Nazarene from the Class of 2004.

On Thursday 10 September, we began the day with our annual Nazareth Day Assembly. This important gathering celebrates our College values and recognises students who have demonstrated excellence in living out our ideals of Faith, Wisdom and Knowledge. 

During the assembly, we acknowledged the recipients of the prestigious Faith, Wisdom and Knowledge Awards, which are presented to a select number of students in recognition of their outstanding achievements.  Following are the award recipients for 2026.

We also presented our SIS Sports Awards and recognised our winning Teen Chef and Chess teams with their winning plaques.

Following the assembly, students enjoyed three hours of activities, rides, entertainment and food outlets located throughout the College grounds.  The festivities were extremely well received, with student feedback highlighting their appreciation for the wide range of opportunities available to them in celebration of Nazareth Day.  Once again, we thank the NCCA for their generosity in supporting this special occasion.

After a quick tidy up, staff and students gathered in the Auditorium for our annual Nazareth Talent Quest.  The talent on display was truly remarkable, with performances providing plenty of entertainment, laughter and enthusiastic audience participation.

I would like to thank Mr Simon Landid and Mr Victor Brusco for their leadership and organisation of the Talent Quest.

A special thank you also to Ms Jerry Penny and Mrs Coreen Grimwood for their excellent organisation of the day, together with the support of our Heads of House and Pastoral Teachers.  I also extend my gratitude to our Maintenance and Facilities Team, whose efforts ensured everything was set up efficiently and packed away in readiness for Friday's school day.

As we conclude another successful term, I hope all students enjoy a restful and refreshing break and return fully energised for Term 4.  I particularly encourage our Year 12 students to make the most of their study break as they prepare for their final weeks of secondary schooling and upcoming examinations.
