Welcome to Term 2
Thank you to everyone who helped support our Easter raffle, by selling/ buying tickets and donating prizes. As always, our students enjoyed the hat parade and Easter celebrations immensely. It was wonderful to see so many families and friends in attendance to celebrate the end of the school term.
Our Tesselaar Bulb Fundraiser has also concluded. Thank you to all of the gardeners who took the opportunity to add some splashes of colour into the gardens ready for spring, whilst also raising funds for our school.
Our Fundraising totals for Term 1 were:
Easter Raffle - $2,983.00
Tesselaar Bulb Fundraiser - TBA
We started off Term 2 with a very successful sausage sizzle at Bunnings Kangaroo Flat. A big thank you to the parents who volunteered their time to help out on the day. Thank you also to those who popped by to purchase a sausage, it was great to see so many Spring Gully faces. Our profits for the day were $1,635.15.
As you would have seen on Compass, there is a Mother’s and Special Friend's day breakfast scheduled for Friday 9th May. The students have been busy in art with the help of Ms Leed, creating special gifts to take home to honour a special person in their life. This is also another wonderful fundraiser for our school, so we thank you for your support. We would also like to offer a big thank you to Ms Leed for helping our students create some very special and creative items.
We are planning another movie night which will hopefully take place in the next few weeks (TBC - Tuesday 20th May). This is a great opportunity to come together for an evening out with family and friends. We do ask that you please make sure your child/ren are sitting down watching the movie so that everyone can enjoy the night. Snacks will be available to purchase on the evening, please keep an eye out for more information once our date has been finalised.
Members
We are always looking for new members for our Parent’s club so we would love to encourage anyone who would like to get involved to please make yourself known to your child’s classroom teacher, or email Kellie Schajermann on kellie.schajermann@gmail.com All time and contributions are greatly appreciated.
Fruit Friday
We are very grateful for the ongoing support offered by the McKern Foundation, who generously supply our fruit for Fresh Fruit Friday every week. Come and join us in the staff room at 8:45am on a Friday morning to prepare and deliver the fruit platters to each of the classrooms. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new connections with other parents, new volunteers are always welcome and appreciated.
