Welcoming Future Families to Our Middle School Community

Last Saturday’s College Tours / Open Day provided a wonderful opportunity to welcome prospective families considering entry into Year 5 in 2028. These occasions are always important moments in the life of the College, as families begin discerning the right environment for their child’s next stage of learning and growth.

For many of our current Middle School parents, the day also serves as a reminder of how quickly the years pass. It feels not so long ago that many of them were walking the very same paths as Year 3 parents, exploring classrooms, meeting staff, and imagining what the Middle School journey may look like for their child. Now, those same students are thriving within our community, a timely reflection on the richness and pace of the Middle School experience.

Open Day is very much a team effort and relies heavily on the generosity and pride of our students. I would like to sincerely thank the many primary students who participated in the parent panels and shared their experiences with authenticity and confidence. Their ability to speak so positively about their learning, friendships, opportunities, and growth captured the spirit of our College wonderfully. I also extend my thanks to the many students from across the College who assisted throughout the day as tour guides, helpers, and ambassadors for our community.

These events remain an important part of our calendar as families consider whether they wish to join the high-performing, high-trust environment that defines our Middle School. It was a privilege to showcase the culture, relationships, and opportunities that make our community such a special place to learn and grow.
