Important Notice - Traffic Management and Transport Procedures and Expectations

To ensure the safety of members of the community and consideration of our neighbours, parents/carers are reminded to follow the guidelines below when dropping off and picking up students before and after school:

• Between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, the ONLY place where students can be picked up and/or dropped off is along the Fraser Street ‘Kiss and Ride’ area. Students cannot be picked up from Merley Road, Francis Street, Shortland Avenue or Marion Street.

   

• Can I please ask that all parents observe the rule above. If you ask your son/s to be picked up from another spot, he will receive a detention. An excuse of, ‘I told him to be picked up here and it is not his fault’ will not be accepted.

   

• Ensure that passengers enter and disembark from the vehicle via the KERB side door, preferably the rear door. Items should not be collected from the boot.

   

• In the afternoon, if your son is not there, you are required to move off, do a lap of the block and join the end of the queue.

   

• Please do not block residents’ driveways or park illegally.

   

• Students in Years 7-12 should not be picked up from ‘Kiss and Ride’ before 3:25 PM. This ensures that the roundabout on the corner of Shortland Avenue and Francis Street runs effectively.

   

• All students who are participating in Co-Curricular or Homework Club MUST be collected at 5:30 PM. The College does not have the resources to have staff on duty after this time.
