Parents and Friends

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day. For me, Mother’s Day is always a time of reflection. Another year passes, and I watch my sons growing taller by the month. It reminds me to reflect on how I can continue supporting them as they grow into kind and respectful young gentlemen.
The beautiful Mass arranged by Ms Daley and Ms Viney on Friday gave us a lovely opportunity to pause and spend special time with our sons. Watching Dr Lavorato surprised by her daughter’s special guest appearance was a touching moment, particularly for working mums who are not always able to be present for every special occasion. The sacrifices we make by spending time away from our families can be difficult, but they come from a place of deep love and a desire to support our families in
the best way we can.
As we read in Isaiah 66:13, “A mother’s love is a reflection of God’s love.”, it was a beautiful reminder that, as mothers, we show love to our families each and every day as a reflection of God’s love for us.
A sincere thank you to the wonderful students and teachers from the IT Department who generously assisted with wrapping the roses for Mother’s Day. Your efforts helped make the occasion even more special.
Thank you to all the wonderful parents and carers who assisted with our barbeque last weekend. Your support and generosity are always greatly appreciated and help create a fantastic community atmosphere for our students and families.
We will again be seeking volunteers this week for the Year 8 Supporters’ Day Barbeque. Please sign up using this link if you are able to assist.
Students in Years 9 and 10 are also encouraged to contact Mr Herro if they would like to help at our Saturday barbeques and earn valuable SOL points.
