Co-Curricular - Senior Sport

This Saturday, SPC Sport will take the opportunity to acknowledge and observe Reconciliation Week. Reconciliation Week commences on 27 May, concludes on 3 June and serves as a time for all Australians to learn about shared histories, cultures, and achievements to foster reconciliation.
Due to the winter sport schedule, we will be using this Saturday to implement this important Australian wide celebration.
The 2026 theme for Reconciliation Week is “All In” as we work with our First Nations people to explore how we can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
Prior to every game, there will be an Acknowledgement of Country as well as special acknowledgements to be held prior to our Tennis fixtures, First XI Football, and First XV Rugby matches. Our firsts teams will also be wearing our First Nations jerseys in honour of the day.
Our fixtures are bound to be exciting and competitive with our Rugby sides kicking off their ISA competition with fixtures against St Pius X, College. Our ISA Football and Tennis sides will be taking on St Andrew’s College. With over 33 matches to be played at SPC venues, there is plenty to be excited about this weekend.
Good luck to all teams!
Congratulations!
Congratulations to William M, who was selected in the NSWCIS U16s Rugby League squad. William will now attend a training camp later in the term to determine final selection into the side.
Vincent P came away with two gold medals at the recent NSWCIS Diving championships, placing first in both the 16 Years Springboard and the 15-16 Years Platform events. Vincent will now compete at the NSW All Schools Championships to be held later this month. Congratulations and good luck Vincent!

Football Update
Congratulations to all of our teams on their efforts on Saturday. Most fixtures were played against our long-time rivals St Pius X, College with all of our A and B teams, along with the First XI, Second XI and Third XI, recording strong victories.
The First XI match was a rematch of last year’s grand final and the boys produced an outstanding performance to win 6–1.
A great effort by all teams across the program. We sincerely appreciate the support from our families and especially thank our Year 7 Supporters’ Day group for their enthusiasm throughout the day.
We now look forward to the upcoming round as we celebrate Reconciliation Round.
I am very pleased to share that our four boys were all successfully selected in the ISA Team:
- Isaac G
- Charlie R
- Jake A
Harvey H
This is a fantastic achievement for the students, their families, and the College. Well done boys.
The ISA Championships will be held on Tuesday 26 May and Wednesday 27 May at the Blacktown District Soccer Football Association Synthetic Fields.

Rugby Update
Welcome to the start of the ISA 2026 Season. It has been a huge two weeks of trials and preparations, and I believe it has put us in the best possible position to begin our campaign in the competitive season. I want to wish all coaches, teams and players the very best of luck and a successful 2026 season.
Please see attached the 2026 ISA Season.
Please note that Saturday 30 May is listed as a Bye round, however, most teams will still have a fixture either against Redlands, a CCGS, GPS or CAS school.
