Creating Global Connections: Year 9 and 10 Students participate in the Global Youth Forum.

We are thrilled to share that six of our Year 9 and Year 10 students (Amelia Kovacic, Cheyenne Newsome, Maddie Louis, Sasha Leary, Felix Muscovich and Charlie McQueen) have been participating in the online Global Youth Forum! This fantastic program connects over 220 youth from across the Asia Pacific region, fostering global citizenship, intercultural understanding, and leadership skills.

Throughout the forum, our students will be working together with peers from across Victoria, Indonesia, India and China. Together they will identify and tackle a community-based challenge, working to create innovative solutions that align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

This experience enhances communication and problem-solving skills and also allows students to gain insights into issues across different communities.

A huge thank you to the Victorian Department of Education and Training, the Asia Education Foundation and The University of Melbourne for providing this wonderful opportunity.

We can’t wait for this group of students to share their reflections on this experience and to start making a positive impact in our community and beyond!
