School Council News

We held our latest school council meeting held on Monday 29th July. These are some of the highlights discussed at the meeting:

Community Bank Warrandyte Grants

We are grateful to have received support from Community Bank Warrandyte for key projects around our school grounds, including the recently opened creative play space.

Julie Crawford and I attended an information session for the next round of community grants in June and on Monday, school council decided to apply for funding for a new seating area near the basketball courts.

We are thankful for the opportunity to apply for these grants, which benefit many projects and organisations in our wider community.

Playground Project

A new playground near the office is a key project for this  year, with construction confirmed for January.

This project is the focus of current fundraising efforts, including the new pop-up canteen - the first of which was held earlier this term and by all reports was a resounding success! Look out for a few more pop-up canteen dates this term.

2024 School Photos

School council received an update on this year's school photos, which are being finalised.

Once distributed, the school community will be asked for feedback on the new provider and format, which will help inform next year's plans.

Next meeting

Our next school council meeting is scheduled for Monday 9th September at 7pm. Visitors are welcome to attend - please contact the office for more information.

School council also welcomes feedback and suggestions on matters within our remit (school operational matters should be directed to the school). Contact us via the school office or by email: michelle.rose@education.vic.gov.au

Warm regards,

Michelle Rose
